However, they made the attempt when the club was on sale and now after the price tag doesn\u2019t meet the Glazers\u2019 requirements, Sheikh Jassim is determined to make a second bid and has been working behind the scenes to gather the necessary funding for the purchase.<\/p>\n<p>The Qatari royal is believed to have the backing of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), which is the country\u2019s sovereign wealth fund. The QIA is known for its investments in various sectors, including real estate, infrastructure, and technology. The Sheikh is also said to have the support of several high net worth individuals in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>If Sheikh Jassim\u2019s bid is successful, it would mark the first time a Middle Eastern owner has taken control of a major English football club.
