Aymeric Laporte, Eric Garcia, and Pau Torres were chosen by head coach Luis Enrique ahead of Ramos, making him one of the big absentees. Ramos has consistently been in the starting lineup for the Parisians despite dealing with injuries for a large portion of his first season there last year. The defender has made 19 appearances in all competitions, which is six more than he did in the entire previous campaign.
