With plenty of plays-and-misses, Pakistan got down with five wickets. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were on the crease when the game was called off for the day. The scoreboard read 126/5.

After the early wicket of Shah Massod, the play seemed steady with Abid and Azhar Ali. Their partnership nearly touched the fifty stand. No sooner, Rory Burns took a catch of Azhar Ali and got his wicket. Babar Azam stepped in to play.

It was only at the completion of 35th over that Abid Ali could reach his fifty. The 38th over was thrilling enough as Pakistan crossed a century. This over also saw another caught out taking Abid Ali’s wicket. Asad Shafiq and Babar Azam continued to score for Pakistan. But, in a short span, England got another catch. The score got to 117-4 with Fawad Alam now on the crease. An LBW with absolutely no runs for Fawad Alam.

Babar Azam has scored a fifty-plus score in each of the last 6 Tests that he has played so far.
