Cristiano Ronaldo\u2019s status at Old Trafford is still up in the air, with the five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner still having a year left on his agreement. Cristiano Ronaldo\u2019s destiny still seems to be up in the mix, but Ralf Rangnick expects he will remain at Manchester United for another season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ronaldo netted a goal as United overcame Brentford 3-0 in their last home game of the campaign on Monday night. The Portuguese superstar struck from the penalty spot to bring his season total to 24 goals in all competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

With simply two games left in the season, all sights will be on the summer when Erik ten Hag takes over as the club\u2019s new head coach and begins the process of putting together his roster for next season. It\u2019s still uncertain whether he\u2019ll be entitled to call on Ronaldo. <\/span><\/p>\n

While the 37-year-contract old\u2019s has one year left on it after signing a two-year agreement when he arrived at Old Trafford the year before, there have been rumours that he may depart in the summer. With United unable to qualify for the Champions League following season, queries have been posed regarding whether he will would like to stay.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Ronaldo gestured to the supporters at Old Trafford after United\u2019s triumph against Brentford, fans rushed to puzzle out if he was planting any signals. Rangnick, on the other hand, feels the five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner will continue in United.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think why it should be a wave of goodbye,\u201d Rangnick told . \u201cHe\u2019s got another year of his contract, and as far as I know he will be here next season again.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday night, when he commenced his lap all around Old Trafford field, Ronaldo seemed to slip a clue, with Sky Sports cameras focusing in on him as he attempted to exclaim, \u201cI\u2019m not finished.\u201d It\u2019s unknown whether this also indicates he\u2019ll continue with United. <\/span><\/p>\n
