Kerala Blasters FC midfielder Harmanjot Singh Khabra faced a two-match suspension and a Rs 1.5 lakh fine from the All India Football Federation\u2019s (AIFF) disciplinary committee on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
After being accused of \u2018violent conduct\u2019 in an Indian Super League game against Hyderabad FC last month, Khabra was found guilty of \u2018charging an opponent whilst not challenging for the ball. Following an investigation into the incident\u2019s video footage, the AIFF body display resulted in the player being suspended.
\nKhabra apologized for \u201cmaking an error in sporting judgment and acting in a manner which is not in line with the laws of the game and it was never his intention to hurt Tavora.\u201d according to his written answer as reported by Marcus Mergulhao. The committee requested a second hearing and announced their decision on Tuesday. Khabra will miss Kerala Blasters FC\u2019s final two ISL league-stage matches against Mumbai City FC (March 2) and FC Goa (March 6).<\/p>\n
