Athletic Bilbao\u2019s player Nico Williams scored a late second-half goal to give the Supercopa holders a 2-1 comeback win over the Laliga winners Atletico Madrid. They will face Real Madrid in the final of the cup on Sunday.<\/p>\n
After a slow first-half performance from both sides, the game came to life when Atletico Madrid went 1-0 up in the tie after an own goal by Athletic\u2019s keeper Unai Simon.<\/p>\n
Athletic club made the score 1-1\u00a0 with a help of a header from Yeary Alvarez from close range in the 77th minute of the match and increased pressure on Atletico Madrid whose goalkeeper Jan Oblak made three outstanding saves previously.<\/p>\n
But even the agile goalkeeper could not keep Nico Williams low shot, which went in off the post in the 81 minutes to win them the semifinal match of the cup<\/p>\n
We didn\u2019t play a good game,\u201d Oblak said afterward. \u201cThat wasn\u2019t the plan for sure, the plan was to play more, to press, to have more of the ball. It didn\u2019t turn out like that, the team is disappointed, it\u2019s a difficult moment, but other games will come, we have to get back up. You can\u2019t say anything else, we have to improve a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n
