As all five players remain in London for recovery and treatment, Thomas Tuchel will be without Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, and N\u2019Golo Kante against Malmo.<\/p>\n
Although slightly disorganized and disjointed, both teams began the game with energy. The game settled into the expected pattern. Chelsea once again dominated both possession and shots, unlike two weeks ago, but was unable to breach Chelsea\u2019s goal in the first half. Kai Havertz got the closest, but his close-range attempt was expertly covered. Malmo also came close to scoring a shock goal, but Colak\u2019s acrobatic volley from a ball over the top shortly before halftime missed the net by a few inches.<\/p>\n
Malmo\u2019s goalie had difficulties handling the ball throughout the game, allowing several juicy rebounds. Alonso also came close to converting a rebound, while Loftus-Cheek twice missed the top corner, once with a corner header and then again with a curling effort from the top of the box. In the second half, it was more of the same until Callum Hudson-Odoi decided he\u2019d had enough including an uncalled handball by Malmo and handed it to Ziyech just before the hour mark. He couldn\u2019t and didn\u2019t miss. That was pretty much the end of the game.<\/p>\n
