Former India international turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has written to the BCCI asking to be reinstated as a commentator for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).<\/p>\n
Manjrekar had been removed from the commentary panel just before the India-South Africa series earlier this year which was eventually cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

With the IPL dates announced, bcci.tv will pick its commentary panel soon. I will be happy to work as per the guidelines laid by you. After all, we are working on what is essentially your production. At that time, it was rumoured that Manjrekar was sacked due to his \u2018bits and pieces\u2019 comment on Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should close this chapter now and forgive Manjrekar. He has already apologised for his comments on Jadeja and sorted it out with the player concerned,\u201d a board official told TOI.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has promised us that he\u2019ll stick to the \u2018code of conduct\u2019 for TV commentators. After all, he\u2019s a fine commentator with massive cricketing knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n
