Italy\u2019s President Sergio Mattarella granted \u2018Order of Merit of the Italian Republic\u2019 honours on manager Roberto Mancini and his football team that won the 2020 European Championship against England.<\/p>\n
The honours were \u201ca sign of recognition of the sporting values and national spirit that animated the Italian victory at the European championship,\u201d said a statement from the residential palace of Italy on Friday.<\/p>\n
Italian football team coach Mancini and Italian Football Federation (FA) president Gabriele Gravina got awarded the honour of \u2018Grand Officer of the Republic\u2019 with team manager Gabriele Oriali and Gianluca Vialli the head of the delegation earned \u2018Commander of the Republic\u2019 honours.<\/p>\n
