The duo can be seen mocking local technicians while attempting to repair a television in their hotel room in the video. However, the video\u2019s origins are unknown.<\/p>\n<p>The story follows France\u2019s loss in a penalty shootout against Switzerland in the Round of 16 and claims of severe internal strife within Didier Deschamps squad including Kylian Mbappe, Adrien Rabiot, and Griezmann.<\/p>\n<p>Dembele is seen using a social media app to record the men at work ( Snapchat). \u201c<span style=\"text-transform: initial\">All these ugly faces, just so you can play PES (Pro Evolution Soccer), aren\u2019t you ashamed?\u201d Dembele tells Griezmann in the video.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat kind of backward language is that?\u201d and \u201cAre you technologically advanced in your country or not?\u201d he later adds.\u00a0<span style=\"text-transform: initial\">Although Griezmann\u2019s words are not clear, the Barcelona striker can be heard laughing throughout the video.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2757\ufe0fAntoine Griezmann and Ousmane Demb\u00e9l\u00e9, in leaked video, appear to be mocking asian technicians in their hotel room who came to fix a technological issue, proceed to mock their looks, language and country's supposed \"technological advance\". <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9fiBtyZxej\">pic.twitter.com\/9fiBtyZxej<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 +Bar\u00e7a (@plusbarca_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/plusbarca_\/status\/1411298913026457606?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 3, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The attacking duo was part of France\u2019s Euro 2020 squad, but the footage was likely taken a few years ago. Griezmann\u2019s hairstyle, in particular, shows the footage isn\u2019t from the Euros, and reports believe it\u2019s from Barcelona\u2019s pre-season visit to Asia in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona, by the way, has been sponsored by Rakuten, a Japanese retail behemoth, since 2016.\u00a0<span style=\"text-transform: initial\">The footage has also prompted uproar on social media, with the hashtag #StopAsianHate trending.
