Saba Karim, BCCI\u2019s General Manager (cricket operations) is learnt to have quit from his post and a formal announcement regarding the same is likely soon. Karim was also a former India wicket-keeper who played 1 Test and 34 Odi\u2019s for his country.<\/p>\n
Karim came in to work as the General Manager during 2017, with the then CEO Rahul Johri presiding over the appointment<\/p>\n
Karim\u2019s exit from the BCCI comes a week after the board accepted Rahul Johri\u2019s resignation as CEO.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, he has been asked to resign. One of the reasons for that is that he was not able to prepare any tangible action plan for domestic cricket (in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic),\u201d a BCCI source told PTI before the news regarding him handing in his resignation came into the forefront. Domestic cricket is unlikely to start before December with the COVID-19 cases continuing to rise in the country.<\/p>\n
