According to Sky Sports, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement in principle to sign England winger Jadon Sancho for a sum of roughly 73 million pounds ($101 million).<\/p>\n
Last year, the 21-year-old had emerged as United\u2019s top transfer target, with British media speculating that the Premier League club had made an offer of over 100 million euros ($118.5 million), but the deal fell through.<\/p>\n
Personal terms between Sancho and the Premier League giants have been finalised, according to Sky Sports, with the player expected to join them after England\u2019s European Championship campaign passing a medical.<\/p>\n
Sancho has played only six minutes as a substitute in England\u2019s 1-0 Group D triumph over the Czech Republic to reach the Euro 2020 quarter-finals. On Saturday, Gareth Southgate\u2019s side will face Ukraine in the last eight.<\/p>\n
Sancho, who joined Dortmund from Manchester City at the age of 17 in 2017, has made over 100 appearances for the club and recently signed a contract extension until 2023.<\/p>\n
In the 2020-21 season, Sancho scored 16 goals and added 20 assists in 38 games for Dortmund across all competitions. With a third-place finish in the Bundesliga, he helped Dortmund qualify for the Champions League.<\/p>\n
