Hodgson resigned from his post at the end of the season and since then Crystal Palace has been in search of a new manager.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lucien Favre is set to sign until June 2024 as new Crystal Palace manager. The club has also started the process of securing Favre a work permit \u2013 but both issues are understood to be a formality. The Eagles\u2019 seven-week search for a new boss following Hodgson\u2019s departure at the end of last season will come to an end following Favre\u2019s expected appointment. Palace considered appointing various managers including the likes of Steve Cooper, Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche but was reported to be in advanced talks with Nuno Espirito Santos, however talks with Santos broke down due to the Portuguese\u2019s demands.\u00a0Nuno left Molineux after four successful seasons with the Midlands club. During these seasons he guided them to promotion from the Championship in 2018. But a 13th-placed finish and poor form in last season led to him leaving the club by \u201cmutual agreement\u201d at the end of the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Favre\u2019s most recently managed Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and worked with the likes of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.
