England players Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount will self-isolate until June 28, which rules them out of Tuesday\u2019s Euro 2020 Group D game with the Czech Republic, the team said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The Chelsea duo had been self-isolating after coming into contact with Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. Mount and Chilwell were seen talking with and hugging their Chelsea teammate Billy Gilmour after Friday\u2019s 0-0 draw at Wembley.<\/p>\n
\u201cChilwell and Mount will isolate and train individually in private areas at England\u2019s training base St. George\u2019s Park, with the rest of the squad returning there after tonight\u2019s fixture against the Czech Republic at Wembley,\u201d England said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will continue to follow all COVID-19 protocols and the UEFA testing regime while remaining in close contact with Public Health England.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mason Mount has started both of England\u2019s games as a midfielder while Chilwell is yet to get to start a match at left-back. England revealed that the entire squad and staff had lateral flow tests on Monday and all were again negative. Further tests will be carried out as and when they deem appropriate.<\/p>\n
