Real Madrid has agreed to personal terms with Borussia Dortmund\u2019s Erling Haaland over speculations about his future at the club level.<\/p>\n
According to reports from Spain, the La Liga giants view the explosive striker as a project for the present and the future. The Norway international has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Spanish club. This will be a cause for concern for Chelsea as they have also inquired about Haaland. Speculation over his future continues despite Borussia Dortmund insisting that Haaland will not be sold this summer.<\/p>\n
Despite agreeing to personal terms with Madrid, the club has yet to surpass another stumbling block which is Dortmund\u2019s asking price for the 20-year old. Dortmund\u2019s evaluation of the Norwegian is in the region of \u20ac170 to \u20ac175 million. In a pandemic impacted market with coronavirus deeply impacting the profits made by clubs, Madrid will find it hard to pay the transfer price for Dortmund\u2019s talisman. This difficulty is doubled by Haaland\u2019s wage demands which are reported to be around \u20ac600k\/week.<\/p>\n
Madrid can play the long game and bid for the striker next summer which could see him sold for only \u20ac75 million. However, this could also attract other potential suitors like Chelsea or Manchester City. Both the rival Premier League clubs are looking to strengthen their squad as the former defeated the latter in the 2021 Champions League final. Pep Guardiola\u2019s Manchester City has also made a \u20ac100 million bid for Tottenham Hotspur\u2019s Harry Kane but this was rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
