Rightfully so too, according to ‘Dada’ after India were able to steer to victory in a nerve-wrenching encounter.

The date of the game was July 13, 2002, with Dada leading out his young team to chase a steep target of 326 with just 3 balls to spare. The game was won by an all-round team effort but special mention must be given to Mohammed Kaif who played a match winning 87 not out, well supported by the young left handed batsman Yuvraj Singh who chipped in with a valuable 69. Together, they steered India to one of the most memorable wins in cricketing history. When the last runs were scored, Sourav Ganguly could not contain his excitement and was pictured waiving his t-shirt in the air at the Lord’s Balcony. An image extremely fresh and memorable for every fan of Indian cricket.

While speaking to Mayank Agarwal via video conference, Dada exclaimed, ” “It was a great moment. We all got carried away, but that’s what sport is. When you win a game like that, you celebrate even more. That was one of the great cricket matches i have been a part of.”

The video chat was shared by BCCI on their twitter handle where Dada is seen answering the questions of Indian test opener, Mayank Agarwal.

You asked, Dada answered 🙂#DadaOpensWithMayank https://t.co/q3Ehfg0AFP pic.twitter.com/a1FQW14Dl3

— BCCI (@BCCI) July 5, 2020

While comparing the NatWest win to the 2003 world cup final loss to Australia, Ganguly mentioned that both games had their own special place while adding that NatWest had its own charm winning in England on a saturday at Lord’s in front of a packed house.Saur

[2
95
post-1009","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cricket","tag-sourav-ganguly
["GET
