World Tour Finale: Assembled with Tai Tzu-ying and Ratchanok Intanon, PV Sindhu gave extreme draw in badminton

On Tuesday, on World Tour Finals, PV Sindhu was handed a rigid draw as she was grouped with world number Tai Tzu-ying and Ratchanok Intanon.

For the round-robin stage of bio-secure tournament in Bangkok, former world champion Ratchanok, Tai and Olympic silver medalist Sindhu were assembled together with Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong.


The season finale (2020) which got delayed due to covid-19 pandemic, starting from Wednesday, is the third biggest-closed-doors event in three weeks in the Thai capital.

In Group A- Carolina Marin, top Spanish player who won three matches back-to-back is going to face South Korean teen sensation An Se-young, Canada’s Michelle Li and Russia’s Evgeniya Kosetskaya.

Viktor Axelsen of Denmark who is unbeaten over the past fortnight is going to face Taiwan’s world number two Chou Tien-Chen, Indonesia’s Anthony Ginting and Malaysia’s Lee Zii Jia in the men’s singles.

However, China’s teamwere unable to travel because of the country’s strict coronavirus rules.
