Helping out players is not common, but it does happen. One possibility is that a veterinarian is being replaced because a team is opting for a younger squad in order to cut costs. Once the newbies prove they are capable of performing at a specific standard, experienced veterans will no longer be needed.
Another possibility for trade is the occurrence of an injury. If a significant player on the roster gets injured, expect the Chiefs to acquire a replacement player. The final potential trade scenario would be to enhance the roster further. For example, if the Chiefs believe that a particular position needs additional or improved depth, they have the option to take action.
The opposite scenario might occur if they believe they have an excess of talent in a certain position and decide to give an opportunity to a player on another team, while also bringing in a player from a different team that they can utilize.
