India’s top ranked men’s doubles pairing of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chiraj Shetty defeated Korean duo Choi Solgyu and Seo Seung Jae on Thailand on Thursday and has entered into the men’s doubles semifinals in the Thailand Open super 1000 tournament, on Friday, Satwiksairaj and Chiraj defeated the Malaysia’s duo Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi 21-18, 24-22.
However, the Indian duo is going to play against another Korean Pair Ko Sung Hyun and Shin Baek Cheol in the semifinals on Saturday.
Also, Rankireddy is going to join Ashwini Ponnappa to play against the Japan duo Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino in last eight rounds of mixed doubles.
