On Thursday, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu marched into the quarterfinals by defeating Malaysia’s Selvaduray Kisona. She easily defeated the Malaysian’s shuttler 21-10, 21-12 in less than an hour in Thailand open super 1000 tournament.
Unfortunately the Rio Olympics silver medallist didn’t make it up to the semifinals of the Thailand open tournament.She got defeated by Thai player Ratchanok Intanon 13-21, 9-21 in women’s singles quarterfinals in an extremely one-sided match. In the opening game Intanon controlled the game from the beginning but Sindhu crawled her way back and scored 13-all. in the second game Intanon took the game into the another level while her Indian opponent struggled to find her feet on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Indian mixed duo Satwiksairaj and Ashwini who marched into the semifinals will face world no.3 pair, Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai.
