
India wins 11th medal as men’s table tennis team defeated Singapore Team in the final with a score of 3-1 to defend their 2018 Commonwealth Games gold.
With two players ranked in the top 50, India, who had dominated Nigeria in the semifinals the day before, underlined their dominance on the final day of the team competitions.
As anticipated, Gnansekaran triumphed in both of his matches, defeating Yew En Koen Pang in singles 3-1 and Koen Pang and Yong Izaac Quek 3-0 in doubles. Even though Sharath lost his match 1-3 to Zhe Yu Clarence Chew. Desai defeated Clarence Chew 3-0, though, to secure the victory for India.
