Thailand open: Indian duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa secured their seat into Quarter-Finals

On Thursday with a sharp win the Indian doubles pair Satwiksairaj and Ashwini secured their seat into quarter finals of the ongoing Thailand open. The Indian duo was outplayed in the second match after winning the first match against Germany’s Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich. After facing a defeat in the second round of the Thailand open Satwiksairaj and Ashwini had smashed out of the Yonex last week but however they made sure that they get over the line this time.

The Indian duo knocked out the German duo in the third match to settle the 56 minutes long match 22-20, 14-21, 21-16.
Earlier on that day, Sameer Verma, Indian shuttler had given his best performance to sail into the quarter finals. In a 39minutes long match Verma outplayed Danish player Gemke in two sets i.e. 21-12 and 21-9, to go into the next round.
However, on Tuesday, PV Sindhu who defeated Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan is going to face Malaysia’s Kisona Selvaduray. And on Thursday H S Prannoy is going to face Malaysia’s Daren Liew.
Indian shuttler Kidambi Seikanth who own the 38 minute long match on Tuesday by defeating Thailand’s Sitthikom Thammasin in two consecutive sets 21-11, 21-11 has withdrawn from the show piece event
