Five-time champion Novak Djokovic is one step closer to his sixth Wimbledon title after he beat Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

With this victory, he reached his 10th Wimbledon semi-final programmed for Wednesday. He has also recorded his 100th career win on grass.

As quoted by BBC, Djokovic said “You guys are putting pressure on my answers! It was a solid performance. I started extremely well, didn’t do many things wrong in the first six games. One break of serve in the second and third set was enough to clinch the victory -credit to Marton for fighting and hanging in there, he had a great tournament.”

World number one, Djokovic is after his 20th Grand Slam title coming from winning this year’s Australian Open and French Open. The record of 20 Grand Slam will equal him with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Serbian Djokovic will next face Canadian Denis Shapovalov who beat Karen Khachanov 6-4, 3-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 to reach his first career Grand Slam semifinal at Wimbledon. Both will fight each other to book a spot in Sunday’s final.
