Who is Andy Murray calling a “clown” as he posts a picture with Federer, Nadal & Djokovic?

The former World No. 1 will be representing Team Europe alongside Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.

Andy Murray posts a picture with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic with a funny caption that is going viral on social media. The former World No. 1 posted a Laver Cup practice match image and mentioned the Big Three with a clown emoji to be the fourth one.

The trio of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic is frequently referred to as the “Big Three” in tennis and is largely regarded as the three best tennis players in history. With a combined total of 63 Grand Slam victories, Nadal with 22, Djokovic with 21, and Federer with 20 the trio has dominated men’s singles tennis for almost two decades. So it is clear, the clown emoticon Murray used was himself.

The Big Four, as they have come to be known, have competed against one another numerous times at Grand Slam tournaments, but they have never been teamed up until this weekend, when they will make up the core of Team Europe in the Laver Cup.

These four players have been incredibly strong. They have collectively won 329 ATP titles in the last 20 years. They have won 66 major titles in total, with 19 at Wimbledon, 17 each at the Australian and French Opens, and 13 at the United States Open. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray have triumphed in more than 4,000 games and taken home prize money totalling about $500 million.
