Prajnesh Gunneswaran, the Indian tennis player has advanced to the second round of the US Open qualifiers. The US Open will be starting from 30th August. However, the qualifier matches have already been started and many participants who are looking forward to qualifying are playing their socks off in the US Open qualifier matches.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran, India’s top-ranked tennis player has reached the second round of the US Open qualifier after defeating the Canadian tennis player named Brayden Schnur by 6- 4 and 7-6 on Wednesday night. It was a straight win for the 31-year old Indian over Canadian. Prajnesh is currently the highest-ranked Indian singles player and he also represents India at the Davis Cup.

Prajnesh is looking forward to competing in the US Open 2021 in Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City, USA, where all the matches of this tournament will be held. The Asian Games bronze medalist was also qualified for the main draw of the US Open in 2019, but he got out of the competition after losing to the Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, who is currently at the 2nd position in the ATP rankings.

The Indian top-ranked Prajnesh Gunneswaran will now be playing against the American professional tennis player named Christopher Eubanks in the second round of the US Open qualifiers on Thursday at 11:05 pm (IST).
