Roger Federer waiting for doctors’ okay, prepares for stronger comeback

Federer only played five tournaments last year and hasn’t appeared on the court since his Wimbledon quarterfinal exit.

Roger Federer talks about when he will be ready for a comeback as the Swiss legend is ready to give it all. The 20-times Grand Slam champion has not appeared on court officially since his Wimbledon quarterfinals exit at the hands of Hubert Hurkacz.

Federer in a recent interview with Caminada The Magazine expressed his comeback. The player, when asked about his comeback replied that he is not thinking that far yet but desperately waiting for the doctors to say he is okay to be back on the court and pkay tennis. “I’m waiting for the doctors’ okay. I am ready to give it my all again,” told Federer as reported by Caminada. The Swiss also stated that he wants to be back on court and “race” and hopes to be back this summer so that he can “hit the ground running”.

Federer has been training hard and is preparing good enough so that he can return to court stronger. The 40-year-old player also revealed via a magazine that he goes through a ” hard day’s training” and comes back home in the evening really “exhausted”. Federer often nowadays is seen posting pictures with tennis racquets and workout images and videos and hints the player is actually getting himself ready for a stronger return.
