Real Madrid had a dramatic victory over Manchester City last night to reach the final of the Champions League.

21-times Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal says that Real Madrid’s unbelievable victory over Machester City last night to reach the final of the Champions League was inspiring him in some ways. The 35-year-old said this after his win over David Goffin to reach the quarterfinals of the ATP Mutua Madrid Open tournament.

Real Madrid has a very dramatic win last night over the Premier League champions City with a score of 3-1 (6-5 on aggregate) where a Brazilain striker netted twice within a minute at stoppage time to power the Whites for an extra time and Karim Benzema ended it with a winner. The victory set the final match for them against Liverpool in the battle for the title.

The Spaniard and tennis legendary player Nadal was present in the stadium along with rival Novak Djokovic. Carlos Alcaraz and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina also enjoyed the magical night in Madrid Spain.

Following the magical comeback by the 13-times European champions where they had lost the first leg 4-3, Nadal expressed his emotions in a post-match interview with Tennis TV and said, “The spirit Real Madrid team have is incredible. In some ways, it was an inspiration for me.”

The 35-year-old from Spain, who has already won three titles this season including one historical Grand Slam in Australia, Nadal also attended the final match of the Los Blancos against Espanyol, where they won their record-extending 35th La Liga title. Alcaraz was there too that day as well and both the Spaniards were seen interacting with a lot of Madrid players as well as the president of the club Florentino Perez.
