Promising British Tennis star Emma Raducanu will play in the Champions Tennis tournament, alongside the legends of the game in November at the Royal Albert Hall.

Promising British Tennis star Emma Raducanu will play in the Champions Tennis tournament, alongside the legends of the game in November at the Royal Albert Hall.

She shot to fame with a great performance at Wimbledon defeating the likes of Vitalia Diatchenko, Marketa Vondrousova, and the experienced Romanian tennis player Sorana Cirstea. She had to retire from her fourth-round match against Ajla Tomljanovic due to breathing problems.

She has continued with her fine performances as she has reached the finals of the WTA Chicago 125 tournament. This will see her break into the top 150 before the US Open qualifiers begin in New York.

She announced that she is playing a bunch of exhibition singles in the Champions Tennis tournament scheduled to be from the 25th of November to the 28th.

Alongside her, legends like former Wimbledon winner Goran Ivanisevic, Greg Rusedski, Mansour Bahrami, former no.1 Juan Carlos Ferrero, Spain’s David Ferrer, 2006 Australian Open runner up Marcos Baghdatis, and Czech Radek Stepanek.

Others that will compete are Xavier Malisse, Australia player and legend Mark Philippoussis, 2010 Wimbledon runner-up Tomas Berdych, former top-five player Thomas Enqvist, former Russia’s No 1 Mikhail Youzhny, and German player Tommy Haas.

Raducanu said about these matches, “I can’t wait to join these amazing legends of tennis and can’t think of a better way to end the season than playing alongside these players in the city I grew up in and at such an iconic British venue.”

She is happy that she was warmly welcomed by her home audience in Wimbledon and will again be in front of the same audience at the end of the year and it will be special.

The 4-day tournament will have daily afternoon and evening sessions with each session having three matches: two singles and one doubles match.
