Nick Kyrgios loses control after getting knocked out of US Open 2022

After losing to Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals, Nick Kyrgios lost it on the court and repeatedly slammed his racket into the ground.

US Open has reached the semifinals stage and Nick Kyrgios, who was one of the top favourites for the major is not the last of the last four.

The Wimbledon runner-up was defeated by the 27th-seeded Russian Karen Khachanov with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7 (3/7), 6-4, to advance to the semifinals at a major for the first time.

The 27-year-old from Australia, Kyrgios lost in five sets against Khachanov of Russia on Wednesday in the US Open quarterfinals. After losing, Kyrgios became enraged and took out his anger on his racket, repeatedly slamming it to the ground before hurling it down with force. He eventually lost it and destroyed the racket.

Meanwhile, Khachanov is scheduled to face Casper Ruud while Carlos Alcaraz will fight against Jannik Sinner in the semifinals.
