Madison Keys hammered Alison Riske and bags the Adelaide International title

Madison keys beat Alison Riske and wins the title of Adelaide International on Saturday.

The American Tennis player Madison Keys breezes off her Compatriot Alison Riske, 6-1 6-2, and wins the title of Adelaide International. With a supreme serving display at Memorial Drive earning the Adelaide International title on Saturday, the player is now all set to boost herself for next week’s Australian Open.

Madison Keys had put in the light effort of her fellow American Alison Riske in winning her first title since the 2019 Cincinnati Masters when Riske made her comeback into the game to finish it in 66 minutes.

This was Key’s sixth career title and boosts her up for a first-round clash to face Sofia Kennin ranking No.11 at Melbourne Park on Monday.

Madison Keys started off with fierce, thumping the forehand winner down the line past Riske to secure a break in her second service game and leading by 3-1.

That break was strengthened two games later as Keys sealed the first set in 28 minutes. Another victory on the Riske serve in the opening game had put Keys in dominance over the second set, while Riske looked to keep her rival at bay. There was little she could have done as Keys broke again before serving for the match.

Madison Keys have also had victories on all surfaces, earning at least one title on each and at the minimum reaching the quarterfinal stage of all the four Grand Slams.
