Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hails US Open champion Emma Raducanu as “Talent of the century”

The Liverpool boss was overwhelmed by the 18-year-old’s performance in the final as he called her a powerhouse of talent.

On Wednesday, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp saluted this year’s Women US Open winner Emma Raducanu and called her the “talent of the century” as he was quite impressed and happy about her performance shown in the final against Leylah Fernandez of Canada. They both showed great sportsmanship throughout the final as it was an eye-catching match with the 18 years young Britisher winning her first major title in the open era. Jurgen is also seen as a keen tennis fan for a long period when he interrupted his preparations only to watch the teenager making history to win the prestigious grand slam title.

Klopp also mentioned that he was stunned and amazed by Raducanu’s performance against Leylah as she defeated her and believed in humanity which was a gift given to all sportsperson involved. Klopp also said in his press conference “It is long ago that I watched a full tennis game and I was impressed by the power, the speed and the whole game”

Talking about the future of young women talent for tennis he was merely happy as he mentioned “Women’s tennis is obviously in a brilliant moment. These two girls, 18 and 19, showed in the game was massively impressive. But then when they got the trophies during the ceremony, how both girls spoke was inspiring to be honest.

Jurgen Klopp made an excellent statement to the former champion by complimenting her hard work and the number of years of practice consideration which today made her a winner.

Emma Raducanu also got a chance to speak with UK President Boris Johnson on Tuesday. The President also congratulated her for her fantastic victory as this will bring a lot of inspiration to all the young women who have been dreaming to win a title under their belt.
