Jannik Sinner wants to be Roger Federer for a day

Sinner is currently scheduled to play against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals of the Italian Open.

Jannik Sinner has expressed his feelings about what it is like to be Roger Federer for one day. The No.  9 ATP ranked player thinks that Swiss legendary player Federer is a complete player who can anything on the court. The player from Italy is currently at an ATP 1000 campaign in his country and has reached the last eight of the tournament Italian Open.

Sinner, about the 20-times Grand Slam champion Federer, said, “I would like to be Roger Federer for a day because of his completeness,” via Eurosport. He further said, “He can do anything and has all the solutions for anything that comes his way on the court.” Federer has not appeared in any tour-level tournament since his quarterfinals exit from last year’s Wimbledon Championship but he is expected to be back at home ground event this year.

On the other hand, the Italian Sinner recently beat opponent Filip Krajinovic to reach the quarterfinals on the home ground. It’s his best result at the Italian Open in his fourth participation. The player beat opponent with a score of 6-2, 7-6(6) to set a clash against World No. 5 and Monte Carlo Masters 2022 champion Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
