Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will face each other in the quarterfinals of the French Open 2022. The Serbian beat Diego Schwartzman in straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-3, 6-3 while Nadal outlasted Felix Auger-Aliassime in five sets with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in a match that ended for four hours and 22 minutes.
The 13 times champion at the Grand Slam in Paris, France Nadal started his 2022 tennis season with an ATP Cup Summer Set trophy followed by his historic 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open 2022. Meanwhile, Djokovic was not allowed to defend his title in Australia and was deported because of Visa cancellation. The Serb participated in limited events following vaccination mandatory rules at several tournaments. After two disappointing events, Djokovic looked to have regained his form back from his home ground where he reached the final at Serbia Open before losing to Andrey Rublev. He then won his first trophy of the year at the Italian Open defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Nadal and Djokovic will be in action for their last-eight clash on May 31st, Tuesday that will be live telecasted in India at Sony TEN and can be streamed live on Sony LIV.
