Iga Swiatek wins 4th WTA title in a row at Stuttgart Open

The Polish professional has now extended her winning streak to 23 matches this season winning four WTA titles.

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek wins her fourth WTA title of the year in a row defeating second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-2. The Polish professional has now extended her winning streak to 23 games.

The former French Open champion moves 7-1 in finals as she has now won her last seven games in straight sets, at Roland Garros in 2020, Adelaide, Rome (2021), Doha, Indian Wells Masters, Miami, Porsche Tennis Grand Prix (2022).

The 20-year-old from Poland is going through an outstanding year so far where she has already won four titles. The No. 1 WTA ranked player started her year by reaching the semifinals of the Adelaide International but was defeated by Australian Open champion Ashleigh Barty. At the first Grand Slam of the year, she was defeated by Danielle Collins in the last four. She then had an early departure against Jelena Ostapenko at the Dubai Tennis Championships but that was it. The top-seeded tennis player since then has won every singles title she participated in.
