Iga Swiatek into her fifth consecutive WTA 1000 final

Swiatek is heading towards her fifth WTA 1000 trophy in a row.

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has reached her fifth consecutive WTA 1000 final defeating Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets. The Polish professional hammered Sabalenka of Belarus with a score of 6-2, 6-1.

No. 1 WTA ranked player Swiatek is into her fifth consecutive final. The player has already won four consecutive WTA 1000 titles this year and is on her 27th game winning streak in a row and is expected to continue her tremendous form for her fifth.

Swiatek will either face Madrid Open champion Ons Jabeur or Daria Kasatkina who are scheduled to fight for a spot in the final at 8:30 pm IST tonight.

Poland’s Swiatek is the only player since Serena Williams in 2015, to have this much of a long winning streak.
