The legendary Swiss tennis player Roger Federer announced his departure from the game last week, bidding the Laver Cup 2022 in London a tearful farewell. With his longtime opponent Rafael Nadal by his side, Federer lost his final match at the same competition against duo Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock, but what followed was a flow of tears from the two of them as well as from all the spectators in attendance, including the great players in Team World and Team Europe sides.
Even others like Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas cried a little bit. Days after calling it quits, Virat Kohli was featured in a video uploaded on Instagram by the ATP Tour. On the audio, Kohli can be heard praising Federer for his incredible career. “Thank you for all the incredible memories, Roger,” said the ATP Tour’s caption.
