Djokovic is back on clay to defend his French Open title. This will be his first Grand Slam of the year as he was not allowed to defend his title at the Australian Open following a controversial medical exemption that resulted in his visa cancellation twice.

The Serb is a top-heavy favourite at the tournament with Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz the other ones to win the title. The No. 1 ATP player can take the advantage of Nadal’s physical health as the Spaniard was seen limping and struggling during his last 16 matche against Denis Shapovalov at the Italian Open. The tournament in Rome, Italy was clinched by Djokovic as his first title of the year. The Serbian had very limited events this tennis season due to vaccination mandates where two of them went in early departure to Dubai and Monte Carlo.

Djokovic reached his first final at home ground in Serbia and won his first title of the year recently in Italy defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Meanwhile, the main draw of the French Open is scheduled to be revealed today at 10:30 IST and will be live telecasted on the Roland Garros official YouTube channel.
