Stefanos Tsitsipas has given an opinion on Sunday while in Toronto. He thinks it is important for every player to get coaching from the coach during matches. He didn’t seem happy when he was speaking. He is not impressed with the rules of the Tennis game and thinks it needs to be changed.
The Greek Tennis player tried to explain the importance of coaches during matches in Toronto. He also said that communication with the players during the match can be helpful for the player. It will help him in decision-making.
Tsitsipas is the third seed in Toronto for the Masters 1000 hard court event. He understands that these are Tennis rules, but he feels they should be looked at by the officials. He also feels that these rules are never going to change. However, the rules of coaching during matches still take place on the ATP Tour, thus he wants this for all the matches.
“It has been there all these years, it’s never going to change, it’s not going to stop,” Stefanos Tsitsipas said to Reuters.
“My opinion on that is that coaching should be allowed, there should be certain regulations and certain ways to enhance it into players performance without it becoming too much,” he added
Tsitsipas also said what’s the point in having coaches if they can’t help you during matches. Except for Tennis in every other game, coaches can communicate to their players during matches, whereas in football it is considered to be a crucial thing. Tennis doesn’t give coaches the freedom to talk with their players, on the contrary, it is considered as a foul and the opponent gets a penalty.
