The Indo-American duo will compete against the winner of another second-round happening on Monday between the Australian players, Samantha Stosur and Matthew Ebden versus Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler at the show court Arena.

Sania-Ram’s pair has bettered from their previous match against Serbian players Aleksandra Krunić and Nikola Ćaćić on January 20 competing for the second round.

Unfortunately, earlier this week Sania Mirza, holding six Grand Slam titles got knocked out in the first round of women’s doubles match.

After Sania along with her Ukraine’s partner Nadiia Kichenok lost the opening round of women’s doubles against Slovenian tennis players, Kaja Juvan and Tamara Zidanšek, she announced her retirement after this season.

Currently, she is the only Indian left in the run for the season’s first Grand Slam, after her fellow Indian, Rohan Bopanna, and his Croatian partner Darija Jurak Schreiber lost at the opening round of the mixed doubles of the Australian Open on Saturday.
