Alejandro Davidovich has reached his first ATP Tour final in Monte Carlo defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the semifinals yesterday and today, he will be in action for the battle of title against defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Davidovich told that he feels “different” playing at the Monte Carlo Masters as compared to when he plays in other tournaments, reported We Are Tennis, on Twitter. The player further said that the clay event in Monte Carlo is something he has always admired as ge remembers Rafael Nadal’s achievements there and that he wishes to perform in the same way. “I remember Nadal’s success here very well, I hope I can do like him.” The 21-times Grand Slam champion has the most titles here counting 11 among which, the right of them were won back to back from 2005 to 2012.
To reach the road to the final, the 22-year old Spanish professional came past son equality players including World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and Indian Wells Masters 2022 champion Taylor Fritz who defeated Rafael Nadal to win the title and break his long unbreakable running streak.
