It’s confirmed now amd all the rumours now conclude that Zinedine Zidane will not be joining Paris Saint-Germain as a new manager.
“Zinedine Zidane will NOT be the new PSG manager, confirmed. Al-Khelaifi now announces: “We have decided for another option as new manager – the best option for our tactical idea”, tells Le Parisien,” tweeted Italian journalist and football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. He further said that the new manager of the Ligue 1 side will be Christophe Galtier and the work to make it official is in progress.
Zidane was rumoured to be one of the contenders to succeed Pochettino as PSG coach, and reports in the French press like as L’Equipe and Le Parisien even stated that he had struck an agreement with the club in principle. However, Zidane’s agent soon refuted the agreements, and it now appears that the Frenchman is simply not interested in coaching PSG.
After winning three consecutive Champions League titles, the Frenchman is arguably one of Real Madrid’s most successful coaches, therefore news that he could be coaching PSG did not sit well with Real Madrid fans. However, if Zidane is elected to lead France, Real Madrid supporters will find it much easier to accept the news.
