Jamshedpur FC has signed 23-year-old striker Ishan Pandita from FC Goa on a permanent deal. Football fans will see him don the red kit of his team till at least May 2023.

Pandita has had a run of good form and is filled with confidence as he had an amazing debut season with Goa in the Indian Super League. He scored 4 goals in 11 appearances with an average of 33 minutes per goal. His performances have made him earn a national team call up as he had been selected to play for India in their friendlies against UAE and Oman in March 2021.
The striker was thrilled at joining a new team, saying that he was extremely excited to play for Jamshedpur. He continued saying that this was the perfect place for him to grow and develop with the help of the manager, Owen Coyle and the strong support of Jamshedpur’s fans. He added that he can’t wait to get on the field with the red jersey of his new team.
The young striker was the first Indian to sign for a La Liga club. He signed a professional contract with CD Leganes in 2016 and joined their youth setup. He played for their U-19 squad and plied his trade in the Division de Honor Juvenil, which is the top division of the Spanish Youth leagues.
Jamshedpur manager Owen Coyle was delighted with the signing saying that Ishan had a fantastic season and now plays for the Indian National Team. Coyle added that Pandita was courted by many clubs in India but they are delighted to welcome him and hopes that he will score more goals with the team.
Pandita was born in Delhi and hails from Jammu and Kashmir. Je moved to Spain in 2014 to play for clubs CD Leganes and Lorca FC. He will have the number 45 in the squad and will join them in their preseason that is going to take place in the coming weeks.
