World Cup qualifier: Venezuela chances of qualifying looks more difficult as they lost to Peru 0-1 in their fourth match

Venezuela who is currently at the last position with only 4 points has lost again to Peru by 1-0. Venezuela chances of going into the World Cup games is looking more complicated with this defeat.

Venezuela has lost their second consecutive match in the World Cup qualifier group stage match. They lost to Peru by 1-0 and remain at the last position in the table. The game saw very less goals but Venezuela again conceded a goal and couldn’t score the goal in the whole match.

Venezuela had very less chances of going into the World Cup 2022 that is to be held in Qatar as they have currently occupied the last place with only 4 points in total 8 matches. Out of these 8, they have only managed to win in 1, draw in 1 and lost in 6. They were against Peru on Monday morning (IST) at Estadio Nacional de Lima stadium where they lost their second match in a row. Peru scored the goal in the first half and defended very well to hold up on their lead. Venezuela was defeated against Argentina before this by 1-3 which was played on Friday, 3rd September. In these two games, Venezuela scored only a single goal and got two red cards for bad challenges.

After Christian Cueva scored the goal for Peru in the 35th minute, Tomas Rincon of Venezuela was shown the second yellow card for a bad tackle. Rincon was been given his first yellow at the 28th minute and just after 10 minutes, he was off the field. Playing against Argentina last week, defender Adrian Martinez of Venezuela got the red card for the very dangerous challenge on Lionel Messi. After the match, Peru climbs up at 7th position with 8 points in 8 games and Venezuela remains at 10th.
