
Norway beats Gibraltar in the world Cup Qualifiers match and occupied the second spot in Group G. Norway’s striker Erling Haaland scored an amazing to help his team secure 3 points against the last position team Gibraltar. Gibraltar hasn’t had their best of qualifiers as they haven’t managed to score even a single point in the six matches they played. A humiliating 5-1 defeat against Norway has made their goal difference tally to -22.
The Norway national football team was 3-1 up in the first half itself. Kristian Thorstvedt scored an opening goal for Norway in the 22nd minute. Just five minutes after that goal, Borussia Dortmund’s first team striker Erling Haaland scored a stunner to take the lead to 2-0 for Norway. Haaland had his third goal in the 39th minute after Real Sociedad’s striker Alexander Sorloth gave a beautiful cross to Dortmund’s man. After conceding the goal in the 43rd minute they were 3-1 before going into the tunnel for a break.
In the 59th minute, Alexander Sorloth who plays as a striker for the Spanish club scored a goal and extended the lead to 4-1. The Norway national football team had 42 shots in the game out of which 13 were on target. Whereas Gibraltar could only manage to hit 5 shots with 2 on target. Later in the additional minutes, Erling Haaland scored his third and completed his hat-trick with the help of H. Pedersen’s assist. This victory means Norway will be in 2nd place with 13 points in 6 games.
