World Cup qualifier: Arrascaeta brace helps Uruguay win 4-2 against Bolivia

Uruguay national football team has won their second match in the World Cup qualifiers as they defeat Bolivia in a thrilling game which ended 4-2. Bolivia national football team has lost their fourth match and currently, they are in the last position with 0 points. Uruguay had 3 scorers in this match, Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Federico Valverde, and Agustin Alvarez whereas Bolivia had only one scorer who scored both the goals for them.

The first goal was scored by Uruguay attacking midfielder named Giorgian de Arrascaeta in the 15th minute with the help of Brian Rodriguez’s assist. Uruguay’s No.10 gave the lead to their team. In the 31st minute, Real Madrid’s first team midfielder Federico Valverde scored his first and Uruguay’s second goal in the match. It was a pretty one-sided game in the first 45 minutes as the Uruguayan players went to the tunnel with a comfortable two-goal lead.


The second half started with a bang as Uruguay found their third goal in just 2 minutes after the whistle. Striker Agustin Alvarez was the one who extended their lead to 3-0 with a beautiful assist by J. Piquerez. Few minutes after the goal, Bolivia made three substitutions and it turned out to be good for them as they found their first goal in the 59th minute. But even after conceding one, Uruguay didn’t stop scoring, they had their fourth in the 67th minute with Arrascaeta converted from the spot. Later in the 84th minute, Marcelo of Bolivia scored the second goal which was like a conciliation goal for them as they lost by 2-4 in the end.
