“We have character and belief in this team,” says Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United completed a brilliant comeback on Saturday against West Ham to move into the top 4 for the weekend atleast. United were 1-0 down in the first, conceding another goal from a corner. Solskjaer brought on Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford as his 2 subs at the start of the second half and his decision payed off.

Paul Pogba scored a screamer outside the box to equalize for United. Fernandes got the assist for the goal as well. Mason Greenwood scored United’s second goal after left back Alex Telles crossed it in for the 19 year old.

Finally, Rashford scored to bury the game and make it 3-1 to United after Juan Mata spotted the winger’s run. This win is the eighth away win in a row in the Premier League for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

Solskjaer also shared his thoughts on his team’s comeback.

“When we got the goal and got on the front foot, we looked like ourselves. We’ve done this too many times, coming back from 1-0 down, for it to be a coincidence.”

“We have character and belief in this team, and the mentality is one of the biggest things I take from these away games,” added Solskjaer.

“The players always believe in themselves and trust themselves, there is no shouting or screaming, we believe in our team-mates and ourselves.”

This is not the first time this season Manchester United have a won a game after conceding a goal first. Even though United were trailing by a goal or more against Brighton, Newcastle United, Everton, Southampton and West Ham United, they ended up winning those games.
