Virgil van Dijk out for more than a month; confirms Klopp

Virgil van Dijk sustained a hamstring injury during the game against Brentford FC.

In the matchweek 19, when Liverpool FC were up against Brentford FC, one of the best defenders in the Europe right now named Virgil van Dijk sustained an injury. Liverpool FC were beaten brutally by the host Brentford in this Premier League fixture.

Virgil van Dijk was substituted in the half time as he got an hamstring injury. The defender wasn’t able to continue and thus had no other option but to be benched immediately. After the game, Liverpool FC’s manager named Jurgen Klopp didn’t give any updates on the injury as the medical team reports takes time.

Before their next fixture in the Domestic League named FA Cup, Jurgen Klopp faced media and he confirmed that the Dutch defender (Virgil van Dijk) will be out for more than a month. The manager Jurgen Klopp has also have an positive update which gave Liverpool fans something to be happy about as their newly signed forward Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven has been added to the squad and will be available for their next game.

Liverpool FC will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup 3rd round fixture at their home ground Anfield on Sunday,  8th January.
