Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly set his sights on a reunion with Emile Smith Rowe, who is currently a key player for the Gunners. Emery, who is now managing Aston Villa, is said to be keen on bringing the young attacking midfielder to Villa Park in the summer transfer window of 2023.
Smith Rowe has been a revelation for Arsenal in recent seasons, breaking into the first team and impressing with his performances. The 21-year-old has shown great potential and has already become a fan favorite at the Emirates Stadium. However, with Villa reportedly offering a significant fee for his services, the Gunners could be tempted to cash in on the talented youngster.
Emery, who managed Arsenal for one season between 2018 and 2019, is believed to be a big admirer of Smith Rowe’s abilities. The Spanish coach is known for his attacking style of play and could see the young midfielder as a key player in his Villa team.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be willing to sell one of their brightest young talents to a Premier League rival. However, if the price is right, and Smith Rowe is keen to link up with his former boss, a move to Villa could be on the cards.
