UEFA Champions League: Benfica hit 5 past Club Brugge to go to the quarter-finals

Benfica is qualified for the Quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Benfica is the first team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League (2022/23 season) Quarter-finals stage. Chelsea followed them by defeating Borussia Dortmund in the second leg at Stamford Bridge (Chelsea’s home ground). On the other side Club Brugge was brutally defeated by Benfica in the second leg.

The game was played at Benfica’s home ground and they destroyed the opponents by scoring 5 goals in the game. The final aggregate score of this fixture was 7-1 to Benfica. Club Brugge scored a single goal in the whole 180 minutes of the game.

Rafa scored the first goal of the game for Benfica in the 38th minute. Goncalo Ramos scored two before Mario and Neres made it 4-0 and 5-0 respectively. Later Club Brugge did score in the 88th minute but it was way too late for them to make a comeback in this game.

Benfica is now the one of 8 teams in the UEFA Champions League and will be trying to use their good form to get their hands on the trophy this year.
