Two second half own goals led Manchester United draw 2-2 against Sevilla

Sevilla FC drew the game against Manchester United with the help of own goals.

Manchester United faced a disappointing draw against Sevilla FC in the Europa League’s quarter-finals first leg on Thursday night, 13th April. The game was one sided until an own goal from Manchester United’s left-back named Tyrell Malacia.

With two Sabitzer’s brilliant goals, Manchester United were leading by 2-0 in the half time. The fans didn’t expect this big change in the scoreline as they conceded two late goals which made it 2-2 in the end. The second own from Manchester United was scored by the club’s captain Harry Maguire. A forward from Sevilla took a header which was going far away from goal but the ball hit Maguire’s head and it deflected to go into the net.


Manchester United will now be going to Spain to play the second leg against Sevilla FC with no advantage over the Spanish side. Erik ten Hag looked very furious when their team gave away the lead in the second half.
